                Discussing about occupations arouses the students to further their ideas what they would like to be in the future.

                Enabling Objective
                                Students will be able to write about the occupations they would like to be .
                Internal Objective
                                Students will be able to tell the meaning of the vocabulary, pronounce the words they hear from the tape recorder correctly.

Process
                Warm up
                1.  Review the vocabulary using Yes, - No questions
                     are you a teacher?
                     - Yes, I am. / No, I am not.  I am a ….. (Career) ……
                     Are you a student?
                     - Yes, I am. / No, I am not.  I am a ….. (Career) ……
                     Do you work in hospital?
                     - Yes, I do. / No, I don’t not.  I am a ….. (Career) ……. /   I work at ………
                                                       
Presentation
                1.  Students list words of occupations they know on the board.
                2.  Teacher presents new words of occupations using pictures.
                3.  Students pronounce the words after teacher focusing on stress.
                4.  Students listen to the tape recorder and do the exercise.
                5.  Students and teacher check the exercise. 

       
Practice
                1.  Students listen to the text again and practice reading aloud.
                2.  Teacher chooses some of them to read aloud.
                3.  Students discuss what is on the text.
                4.  Students do the exercise from (J cloze, J cross or J mix)
                5.  Teacher and students check the exercise.
                6.  Students work in pairs by using the questions:
                                - Where does your father / mother / sister work?
                                - What does he / she do?
                                - What do you think of his / her job?
                                - What do you want to be when you finish school? Give reasons.


Production
                1.  Students write the answers in a paragraph.
                2.  Students report their writing in front of the class and hand on the drafts to teacher.

                1.  Checking pronunciation
                2.  Checking gap-filling from the listening text
                3.  Checking participation in class (their Ideas)
                4.  Teacher observation
